The Sweden-US Autotech Program fosters collaboration among top Swedish and US Autotech innovators

With the goal of facilitating connections between the Swedish Autotech ecosystem and local US stakeholders, the program seeks to enable collaboration that promotes Swedish innovation within the US Autotech market.

The Sweden-US Autotech Program

Sweden has long been recognized as a leader in developing innovative automotive IT solutions and embedded software. With a strong tradition of engineering and manufacturing, Sweden has a highly skilled workforce and world-class engineering programs at its universities. This has positioned Swedish automotive companies at the forefront of developing cutting-edge technologies such as electrification, autonomous driving, and connected vehicles. Moreover, Sweden's expertise in the automotive sector, coupled with its focus on innovation, safety, and sustainability, has solidified its position as an international tech leader. This makes Sweden a strategic location for developers of ICT-based automotive applications and research leaders pioneering tomorrow’s transport solutions.

In 2022, the Sweden-US Autotech Program was initiated with the aim of bridging the innovative Autotech industries of Sweden and the US. As both countries boast significant industry hubs and are leaders in Autotech innovation, there is a clear need to foster collaboration and exchange between these two centers of innovation.

The Sweden-US Autotech Program aims to achieve this by providing a platform for Swedish Autotech companies to connect with local stakeholders in the US market. By facilitating partnerships, networking opportunities, and strategic insights, the program enables Swedish companies to accelerate their expansions into the US market while contributing to the advancement of Autotech innovation on a global scale. The Sweden-US Autotech Program is dedicated to supporting Swedish Autotech companies as they navigate the dynamic US market and connect with US stakeholders. From promoting collaboration to practical growth and expansion support opportunities, the program serves as a bridge between innovative companies in the automotive technology sector.

The program is a partnership between four organizations: Business Sweden, Vinnova, Drive Sweden, and Future Mobility. Together, they collaborate to drive innovation and collaboration in the Autotech industry, offering valuable resources and expertise to participants.
